IEEE VIS 2026 Registration
We are excited to have you to join us at the 2026 IEEE Visualization and Visual Analytics Conference, November 9 - 13. The main conference will take place at The Westin Copley Place in Boston, MA, USA. Satellite locations will also host in-person programs at Paris, France and Tianjin, China. Registration for satellites in our two locations (Paris and Tianjin) is coming soon. If you are planning to attend these sites (and not obligated to register at the Full Conference rate, see below), please standby for updates to how you will register.
Registration Process
- Click the button above.
- Follow the prompts to select the appropriate registration type and answer registration-related quetions.
- Remember that presenters of full papers, short papers, invited TVCG papers, and invited CG&A papers must be covered by a Full Conference registration and provide information as an author. More details on this below.
- VAT for satellite registrations will be included as necessary.
- Complete your payment for your selected registration.
- A confirmation email and visa email will be sent to you automatically. See our visa page for more information.
- Join us at one of our locations!
Please keep in mind that there will be no in-person registrations available at the satellite locations. In-person registrations will be permitted in Boston.
Authors and Presenters of Full Papers, Short Papers, Invited TVCG Papers, and Invited CG&A Papers
Each VIS Full Paper, VIS Short Paper, or invited TVCG/CG&A journal presentation MUST be covered by a Full Conference registration regardless of presentation location (Boston/Paris/Tianjin). During the registration process, they must provide which location they will be attending in-person as well as their paper type, ID, and title.
Student authors/presenters may only cover one (1) paper on their Full Conference registration. Other authors/presenters may cover up to two (2) papers on their Full Conference registration.
Papers presented at symposia, workshops, tutorials, panels, challenges, or other conference proceedings do NOT require someone to complete a Full Conference registration. Similarly, poster presenters, invited speakers, or other presenters or organizers do NOT require someone to complete a Full Conference registration.
Conference Registration Fees
We recommend all attendees, authors/presenters, and organizers register online in advance and pay via credit card or wire transfer. Note that wire transfers will include a separate fee (please add it under the “Additional Items”).
Note that registrations at our satellite locations will have limited capacity.

All registrations include admission to sessions and events for the chosen days and location of attendance. Access to virtual content is also provided.
If attending on Wednesday in Boston (November 11), all registration categories include admission for one person to the conference banquet. The banquet will be hosted Wednesday night at the MIT museum. Additional banquet tickets may be purchased through the registration site.
Remember that each paper presented during the main conference proceedings MUST have at least one person complete a Full Conference registration. See above for details.
Registration fees are refundable up to 30 days before the beginning of the conference.

Registration FAQS
Q: I am presenting an invited TVCG or CG&A paper. Do I need to complete a Full Conference registration?
Maybe. If there is a co-author who has completed a Full Conference registration and provided information for your paper during their registration process, you do not need to complete an additional Full Conference registration yourself. In this case, you may choose a complete a different registration if you wish. Please coordinate with your co-authors to decide who will complete a Full Conference registration and provide the required paper-related information. Authors/Presenters for whom their papers do not have a corresponding Full Conference registration will be contacted by a member of the conference organizing commitee to arrange the appropriate registration and to collect the required paper-related information.
Q: I am a poster presenter. Do I need to complete a Full Conference registration?
No. Posters presenters may select whichever registration best suits their schedule.
Q: I will present a paper at a workshop. Do I need to complete a Full Conference regisration?
No. Workshop or symposium paper presenters and authors may select whichever registration best suits their schedule.
Q: I am an organizer for a workshop, tutorial, panel, challenge, or symposium. Do I need to complete a Full Conference registration?
No. Organizers may select whichever registration best suits their schedule.
