VIS 2026 EVENT REGISTRATION
The 2026 IEEE Visualization and Visual Analytics Conference, running from November 2 - 7, is organized as an on-site event. The conference will be held at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) in Vienna, Austria. There will be a completely virtual session (organized in Zoom) for presenters who are not able to travel.
Important Dates
- Early bird registration deadline: September 21, 2026
IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL PRESENTERS OF MAIN CONFERENCE PAPERS, MAIN CONFERENCE SHORT PAPERS AND INVITED JOURNAL PAPERS
- One speaker for each main conference paper, main conference short paper, or invited journal paper MUST register under the On-site Speaker Conference Registration or the Virtual Speaker Conference Registration option (Student Speaker options will be available).
- Presenters can add one additional paper to their Speaker Conference Registration (i.e., a maximum of 2 papers per Speaker Conference Registration).
- Speaker Conference Registration includes admission to all conference sessions, symposia, tutorials and workshops, welcome reception (Tuesday), conference dinner (Wednesday), and access to VIS 2026 online content.
- Presenters participating at symposia, workshops, tutorials, or panels SHOULD NOT select the Speaker Conference Registration category. Instead, they need to use the On-site Conference Registration category.
Speaker Conference Registration Fees
We need to charge 20% VAT on the registration fees.

All Speaker Conference Registration fees are not refundable.

Attendees should register online in advance and pay via credit card or wire transfer.
- Full Week Conference Registration Includes: Admission to all conference sessions, symposia, tutorials and workshops, welcome reception (Tuesday), conference dinner (Wednesday), and access to VIS 2026 online content.
- One Day Conference Registration Includes: One day admission to any conference sessions, symposia, tutorials, and workshops for that day, and access to VIS 2026 online content.
- Two Day Conference Registration Includes: Two day admission to any conference sessions, symposia, tutorials, and workshops for those days and access to VIS 2026 online content.

Registration fees are refundable up to 30 days before the beginning of the conference.
Diversity and Inclusivity Participants
- We will offer free virtual registration to individuals residing in countries where the per capita Gross National Income (GNI) is US$15,000 or less. If you qualify, select the Diversity Admission option. See list here.
- Individuals who need financial assistance but reside in a country not included on the Diversity Admission list, can select the Inclusivity Admission option for a free virtual registration.

Q: I am presenting a TVCG or CG&A invited paper.

Speakers for invited papers should use the On-Site Speaker Registration category.
Q: I am a poster presenter. Do I need to register using the Speaker Registration category?

No. Posters presenters should use the regular On-Site Participant Registration category.
Q: I will present a paper at a workshop. Do I need to register using the Speaker Registration category?

No. Workshop or symposium paper presenters and authors should use the regular On-Site Participant Registration categories.
Q: If I complete a Speaker Registration, do I also need to separately complete an On-Site or Virtual Participant Registration to attend the conference?

No. Speaker Registration includes the benefits of an on-site or virtual participation, and thus completing it will enable attendance in your preferred mode.

ACCESS TO 2026 ONLINE CONTENT
Individuals not registered as in-person conference participants or virtual speakers can purchase access to the online content. Online content access includes: Access to online content (i.e., presentation recordings), including downloadable proceedings.
