Multi-Media Analytics (MMA)

Both individuals and organizations now struggle with the flood of both premium and user-generated digital media content. Current sense-making tools (multi-media capture, navigation, search, visualization, and analytics) specialize in individual modes (image, video, audio or text), but at the cost of comprehension across all digital media. This Birds of a Feather (BOF) will be a casual and open gathering for people from different contexts to share the MMA working group's history and goals, and to consider the next steps towards addressing challenges presented by this emerging domain: use cases, development tools/technologies, sensors/displays, compute requirements, codecs, datasets, and benchmarks.
